Comcast a Charter využijí 5G od T-Mobile pro své mobilní služby

Comcast a Charter Communications (NASDAQ:CHTR) v úterý oznámily, že založí mobilního virtuálního operátora (MVNO), který bude využívat 5G síť T-Mobile k poskytování služeb bezdrátovým firemním zákazníkům, s plánovaným spuštěním v příštím roce.

Finanční podmínky dohody nebyly zveřejněny.

Vzhledem k rostoucí konkurenci v oblasti širokopásmového připojení a placené televize podtrhuje nová dohoda Comcastu (NASDAQ:CMCSA) a Charteru s T-Mobile, jak se kabeloví giganti snaží najít nové příležitosti k růstu expanzí na trh bezdrátových služeb pro firmy.

Iniciativa se zaměří výhradně na poskytování velkoobchodního mobilního připojení firemním zákazníkům Charteru a Comcastu.

Společnosti dodaly, že jejich stávající dlouhodobé partnerství v oblasti MVNO bude i nadále podporovat rezidenční a stávající firemní zákazníky.

MVNO je poskytovatel mobilních služeb, který poskytuje telefonní služby pronájmem kapacity sítě od zavedených bezdrátových operátorů, namísto vlastnictví vlastní síťové infrastruktury.

Významní MVNO, jako jsou Tracfone, Mint Mobile a Metro by T-Mobile, společně obsluhují desítky milionů zákazníků v USA a nabízejí cenově výhodné předplacené tarify bez smlouvy.
