US Trade Deal Needs to Favor Britain, Trade Minister Liam says

Britain would only sign a trade deal with the United States if the agreement would be valuable for the country, according to the Trade minister Liam Fox on Saturday, considering that metal imports received criticism from one of the American major European allies. At the same time, they also prepare for the trade deal with the United States in preparation to leave the European Union in 2019 as its biggest trading partner.

Not only did Britain was affected by the tariffs on steel and aluminum on exports to the U.S. but also Canada and Mexico. Trade Minister Fox regarded it to be improper and request for a reconsideration from the U.S. although it is not wrong to pursue a trade deal.

Fox told BBC radio “If we can’t come to an agreement that we believe is in the interests of the United Kingdom, then we wouldn’t be signing any trade agreement.” This is regarding the trade deal in accordance with the policies of President Donald Trump.
